General Studies Paper I: Indian Heritage and Culture, History & Geography of India and the World
General Studies Paper I (GS Paper 1) is a foundational and highly significant part of the UPSC Main Examination. It assesses a candidate’s depth of knowledge and understanding of historical, geographical, social, and cultural events. This paper covers three major subjects:

Indian Heritage and Culture: It focuses on India’s rich cultural history, including ancient, medieval, and modern art forms, literature, and architecture.
